IKEA Store App Reviews

IKEA, Their Programers and Web Designers.

Ikeas web presence, including their app, remain shockingly bad. From crashing, freezing during loading, inaccurate stock information, passing off from the poor app to the shabby website all show IKEA in a bad light. To my experience on iOS devices, 2-stars is now, and has always been, generous. These people need to sit down with customers using their ware and take notes, not make rationalization, when things dont work. (Which is all the time)

Still needs Apple wallet support

Having to go through the IKEA app to find my loyalty card is just as a hassle as carrying around a physical card. Needs Apple wallet support to have all my cards in one place. Otherwise good app.

Low functionality; lacks Apple Wallet

The app needs a compelling reason to stay on my phone since there is limited storage on it Unless theres more to it than a shopping list, the app is not going to stay. It was disappointing that I couldnt add the IKEA Family card to the Apple Wallet. It was more so when it couldnt retrieve the card number through a barcode scan (the card has one). I had to manually enter a long number from the card which was printed in a small typeface. While it didnt crash on me, it didnt appear to have much to offer.

Almost no functionality. Whats the point

This app allows you to make a shopping list before you go to IKEA. It tells you the before tax total of your items and applies the IKEA family discount if you and IKEA family account. It also tells you if those items are in stock at the store you selected - but I have not found that to be terribly accurate. What it does not do: It does not allow you to print or share the list with someone else. Would be nice if youre sending someone else to get your stuff. It does not tell you what Aisle Or bay items are in the warehouse. So you still have to track down an IKEA employee or use the computer at the store to figure out where your items are located. Saves absolutely zero time when youre actually at the store. Additional features I would appreciate which are not really the falls of the app but rather store policy The ability to order and pay online and then have my items pulled so I can pick them up at the store. Id even pay a surcharge for this and/or not be insulted if there was a minimum purchase required for this. Time is money. A smarter search function. Misspellings are fatal.
